Smith sinks basket in Knick of time, Harden catches fire


JR Smith sunk a buzzer-beater to get a depleted New York Knicks line-up past the Phoenix Suns 99-97 in Wednesday's NBA action. The Knicks were without injured stars Carmelo Anthony and Raymond Felton, who are averaging 28.5 and 15.8 points respectively this season, after both players picked up injuries in the defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers a day earlier.

Hot LeBron earns Miami six-point win, Kobe goes for 34 in Laker victory


LeBron James starred as the Miami Heat emerged 103-97 winners in their NBA Finals rematch with the Oklahoma City Thunder. James, who was named Finals MVP as the Heat claimed a second NBA championship, posted 29 points, nine assists and eight rebounds on Christmas Day to help the defending champions to their fifth win on the bounce.
